ABC - Art Berlin Contemporary 2011

07.-11 2011 OM opened the international art autumn contemporary in Berlin abc art berlin. Under the title "about painting" devoted the picturesque in the presence of the exhibition format founded by galleries this year and shows the painting, but also installations, works on paper, videos, films, photographs and sculptures that have a kontextuelles interest in this classic medium. Around 100 international artists, presented by just as many galleries, exhibit their creations in a spectacular commercial site in Berlin-Mitte.
The fourth edition of the abc is content supported by Rita Kersting, which was until 2006 Chief Director of the Kunstverein of loading of the Rhine and Westphalia in D眉sseldorf. In "about painting", Rita Kersting puts focus on the different artistic views of painting and their diverse, often medium cross-cutting approach.
The organizers have opted for an early appointment in September, to set the starting signal for the international art season after the summer break. Other Berlin institutions and artistic events have reacted positively to the transfer of the appointment and signalled their cooperation.
