ARCOmadrid confirms its identity as a Fair for discovering artists and exploring their work
More than 60 booths devoted to one or two artists among the 163 galleries in the General Programme, 13 in #FocusFinland, 27 in #Opening and 21 in #SoloProjects
The newest edition of ARCOmadrid will consolidate the event's reputation as a fair for discovering artists and exploring their work. Of the total of 217 galleries selected by the Organising Committee and the curators of the different programmes, more than 60 will present just one or two artists as part of the new option in the General Programme, SOLO/DUO. #SoloProjects and #FocusFinland will also be presenting a single artist in each booth. These proposals will reinforce the space for discovering work by artists of every generation and nationality which the Fair has striven to create in recent years.
ARCOmadrid is detecting greater confidence in the market and in the Fair, with the participation of more than 150 art professionals and museum directors, and the return of major international galleries. These include Nicolai Wallner, with a special presentation of Dan Graham; Peter Kilchmann, with Teresa Margolles; Bob Van Orsouw, with Anton Henning; Del Infinito Arte, with Julio Le Parc; Micheline Szwajcer; Andersen’s Contemporary, and Kewenig, who will be participating in the General Programme, consisting of 163 galleries, alongside others such as Esther Schipper; Chantal Crousel; Vera Munro; Mehdi Chouakri; Vermelho; Gregor Podnar and Mai 36.
