Cape Town boasts a vibrant arts scene. Thanks to its dynamic and diverse cultural heritage and geographic advantages, Cape Town is a compelling draw card for art world professionals. The Cape Town Art Fair will once again showcase an exhilarating diversity of work representative of the richness, promise and investment value of art coming out of South Africa.
Newly announced developments in Cape Town include the Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa (Zeitz MOCAA)  a major new cultural institution that will focus on collecting, preserving, researching, and exhibiting cutting edge contemporary art from Africa and its Diaspora as well  as. Guild, Africa鈥檚 first international design fair that will be at the same time as the Cape Town Art Fair.
Cape Town Art Fair鈥檚 invited Curator, Andrew Lamprecht said, 鈥淎s Cape Town prepares to host the World Design Capital next year, with moves afoot to make it a true global art capital, it can only go from strength-to-strength and enrich the city and her people. We have more galleries than ever before, and the artists who have made their home here are productive and reflect well in terms of the international market and current trends in the art world.鈥
