FIAC features the visual arts of the twentieth and twenty-first century, modern art emerging artists. All mediums are represented: painting, sculpture, installations, videos, movies, multiple, performance, digital arts and design.
This program brings to the Court Square 16 galleries selected by a jury of the international curators, the quality of programming and forecasting based on a specific project to the FIAC having one or two artists.
This program provides each gallery a significant financial support, and gives rise to the award of Lafayette. Awarded to the one of the artists in this sector, it is an acquisition of a work by the Galeries Lafayette, and the presentation of an exhibition at the Palais de Tokyo, with an endowment of production.
The winner of the 2009 Lafayette is the American artist Carol Bove, represented by the London gallery Hotel. Carol Bove exhibit at the Palais de Tokyo in October 2010.
