Having gained a reputation in the international art market as Asia鈥檚 premier annual art fair presenting a unique combination of Art and Antiques, FINE ART ASIA 2011 will be staged at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centrefrom 3-7 October 2011.
This year the premier art event will present several newly developed sections. It will showcase a wide array of museum quality art exhibits, from ancient Chinese stone wares and Himalayan bronzes, Chinese ceramics and works of art, furniture and textiles, fine art jewelry and jades, to rare Old Master paintings and exceptional Modern and Contemporary artworks from both Asia and the West.
FINE ART ASIA is the one and only art event of its kind in Asia, where the link between tradition and modernity can be seen and appreciated under one roof. With its unique status, the fair aspires to the same level of excellence as TEFAF Maastricht, the world鈥檚 leading annual fine art fair held in the Netherlands.
A highlight of FINE ART ASIA 2011 will be Project Discovery 鈥� a special exhibition within the Contemporary Art Section. Presented by 3812 Contemporary Art Projects, a group of selected emerging Asian artists will be invited to present their solo exhibitions. Project Discovery aims to serve as a platform for these artists to showcase their cutting-edge, inspiring and highly collectible works, while providing collectors and visitors with a chance to explore the infinite possibilities of contemporary art.
