Kensington Antiques Fair 2011

07 Jan, 2011 - 09 Jan, 2011
Most dealers and collectors  welcome the Kensington Fair as a starter event for the New Year, when everyone is keen to get out of the doldrums - Kensington Fair offers a variety of stands with bright and friendly exhibitors, pleased to be back at work!

This will be the first Penman Fair under up-graded Standards Regulations, which is tightening up on quality and authenticity, allowing fewer modern pieces (6 per stand) and just 4 stands majoring in modern pieces. We have gleaned from visitor feedback that the increasing modern elements of Penman Fairs have been less well received, so we are moving to restrict the later element, as indicated by the change in title too!  We hope visitors will enjoy the more traditional look.

Most of the regular exhibitors are planning to return, and we are adding stands downstairs to make more variety. So there is space for 55 stands. The standplan will be populated with names in early December.

Penmans established the fair in 1976, 3 years after the new Kensington Town Hall was built. Known then as The West London Fair, it flourished and at its zenith had 90 small stands on 3 floors, every January and August. Now a January event only, with potential to re-grow to 3 floors as and when the volume of business increases.
