For 25 years the Fair has stimulated critical and commercial attention for galleries and their artists by presenting a rich and diverse cross-section of the region’s visual art scene and directly contributing to the livelihood of living artists.
In 2014, Melbourne Art Fair will deliver an inspiring program that shines a light on Melbourne’s thriving contemporary art scene. Highlights will include a citywide Collector Program, innovative satellite events and the introduction of new exhibition sectors that focus on cutting-edge, emerging and new media artists.
Central to the artistry and integrity of the Fair is Melbourne Art Week. It will feature seven days of exhibitions, free educational programming, satellite events and projects will complement the attractions of the Fair to make August the most dynamic month in the city’s visual arts calendar.
