Moving Image - Contemporary Video Art 2011

The Moving Image curatorial advisory committee has invited a selection of international commercial galleries and non-profit institutions to present single-channel videos, video sculptures, and other larger video installations. Moving Image has been conceived to offer viewers a unique viewing experience, providing a rich program of time-based work from around the globe by today's most important and exciting new artists.

On the heels of their successful launch in New York in March 2011, Moving Image: The Art Fair of Contemporary Video Art is coming to London opposite Frieze Art Fair in October 2011.

Moving Image has been conceived to offer a viewing experience with the excitement and vitality of a fair, while allowing moving-image-based artworks to be understood and appreciated on their own terms. The newly formed Moving Image Curatorial Advisory Committee for London is inviting a selection of international commercial galleries and non-profit institutions to present single-channel videos, single-channel projections, video sculptures, and other larger video installations.


Moving Image, an art fair of contemporary video art, will take place October 13-16, 2011, during Frieze Art Fair in London and within short walking distance of the Tate Modern. Located in the Bargehouse in the Oxo Tower Wharf on the South Bank.

 An opening reception for Moving Image will take place Thursday, October 13, 6 - 8 pm.
