Unpretentious yet very high quality, Petersfield Fair offers both exhibitors and visitors a welcoming friendly atmosphere, where like-minded dealers and collectors can enjoy doing business.
Most exhibitors are regulars, and there is a long waiting list for stands. Thus we can maintain high standards and a good balance of disciplines. Jewellery is particularly popular in Petersfield, so we usually have 4 or 5 jewellers. Competition for these slots is strong!
For 2012 we will move the summer fair to our exciting new venue, Guildford, where we look forward to a smart large new fair in "G Live", a newly build replacement for the City's Civic Hall which was pulled down in 2004. This former venue hosted many excellent Gildford Antiques fairs, run by the Heath Bullock family.
Petersfield Fair was established in around 1973 by Eric Gamlin, and Penmans bought it from his widow, Heather Gamlin in 2000. The fair is now perhaps the most consistently successful Antiques Fair in the country, attracting buyers and sellers from across the UK.
