Under the Influence of Finance and Fashion: Selections from the Frederick R. Weisman Art Foundation at Carnegie Art MuseumThe artists and works in this exhibition explore the relationship between economics and consumer culture and reveal the immense impact that socioeconomics has had on the art of the contemporary generation, as well as on our culture at large. Representative works from all his important groups of work are shown, the curator is the German art historian Veit Loers. The Kocherscheidt  exhibition in the Essl Museum seeks to re-evaluate the painter and his work from a present-day perspective at a time when the positioning of figurative and abstract painting is regarded as no longer relevant. read more...
