Carsten Nicolai鈥檚 "a (alpha) pulse"
For two hours each night for the three days of Art Basel Hong Kong, Nicolai鈥檚 "a (alpha) pulse" will take over the 118-story International Commerce Center on the Kowloon side of Victoria Harbor. Nicolai will reprogram the tower鈥檚 lights into a hypnotic rhythmic frequency that will be synchronized with a soundtrack accessible with a smartphone app. Aside from commissioning the project, Art Basel Hong Kong has given this preview to enthusiasts who can鈥檛 make it overseas to see the installation at the ICC themselves.
