The opening of 14 Rooms, curated by Hans Ulrich Obrist and Kalus Biesenbach brings 14 different performance and installation art experiences to visitors of Art Basel. The video gives viewers at home a taste of the experience, showing snippets of the live performances in video, rather than just in a jpeg format. Pieces such as Otobong Nkanga’s beautifully harmonizing Diaspore contrast with Jordan Wolfson’s gyrating robot that made waves at David Zwirner earlier this year, as well as a piece by performance art mega-star, Marina Abramovic, each bringing a different experiential installation for visitors to immerse themselves in.
