15 years in an instant
We鈥檙e celebrating! It鈥檚 been 15 years since a diverse group of photographers established Perspective Group and Photography Gallery, a community-oriented, not-for-profit cooperative.
And to commemorate this milestone, we have launched an instant film project. We celebrated with our photographic community making Polaroid prints together at the Perspective Gallery Anniversary party in July and again at the 2025 Filter Photo Festival in September. To further honor the work of our many current and past members we have curated a mobile installation of Polaroid prints that will be exhibited in the gallery from November through the end of the year.
From the start, Perspective Gallery鈥檚 mission has been to promote fine art photography through monthly group and featured artist exhibitions, four of which are juried shows鈥攐ne international, another for Chicago-area photographers, a third for Chicago-area high schoolers, and a fourth an invitational. All of this, plus guest speaker lectures and monthly artist talks. That tradition continues today.
15 Years In An Instant! marks time well spent promoting fine art photography within our Chicagoland community.
