Bungaree's Farm
"Bungaree鈥檚 Farm" is an exhibition of contemporary Aboriginal audio, video, performance and installation art exploring Bungaree鈥檚 legacy. Bungaree, known as the Chief of the Broken Bay Aborigines, was a central figure in early Colonial Sydney. As an Aboriginal leader, he was the first person known to have been called an 鈥楢ustralian鈥. "Bungaree鈥檚 Farm" was commissioned in 2015 to mark the 200th anniversary of the establishment of Bungaree鈥檚 Farm by Governor Macquarie on 31 January 1815.
