Bungaree's Farm
"Bungaree鈥檚 Farm" is an exhibition of contemporary Aboriginal audio, video, performance and installation art exploring Bungaree鈥檚 legacy. Bungaree, known as the Chief of the Broken Bay Aborigines, was a central figure in early Colonial Sydney. As an Aboriginal leader, he was the first person known to have been called an 鈥楢ustralian鈥�. "Bungaree鈥檚 Farm" was commissioned in 2015 to mark the 200th anniversary of the establishment of Bungaree鈥檚 Farm by Governor Macquarie on 31 January 1815.
