Martin Heine, Trek Valdizno & Thilo Westermann: Magis Autumn
"Magis Autumn" is an exhibition of three artists whose painterly attitudes banishes, celebrates and extends the pictorial plane of a conventional work of art. The stark differences in their seemingly similar methods of labor diverge from the artworld trend of hyperrealism that exists as an uncanny depiction of life. What Martin Heine, Thilo Westermann and Trek Valdizno show us instead are their own brands of perfection 鈥 that image-making is very much able to contain the fa莽ade of mechanical production as well as the antithetical performances against it.
