Plakt

01 Sep, 2025 - 01 Sep, 2026

For the project PLAKT by Artlead, 12 artists were invited to design poster motifs that, like concert or theatre posters, are printed on so-called blueback posters and displayed in public space. The artworks appear unexpectedly in the city and then disappear again. The project thus celebrates spontaneity and transience. Since December 2024, the first phase has been running: 300 A1 posters by eight artists have already been pasted up in Brussels and various Flemish cities.

In this phase of PLAKT, larger versions of all the artworks are shown at the IKOB in Eupen, CC Strombeek, De Warande in Turnhout, Kunsthal Mechelen, NW Aalst, De Brakke Grond in Amsterdam, C-mine in Genk, Kapel Rozenkrans in Oostduinkerke, Museum Dhondt-Dhaenens in Deurle, and the Abbey in Kortrijk. Each partner decides for themselves in which order to present the artworks and how often to rotate them.

The posters are displayed in a steel frame designed by Val茅rian Goalec, inspired by the advertising panels of the Paris Metro. The frame is located opposite IKOB, at the staircase leading to Loten Street.
