Los Angeles Fine Print Fair 2010
Now in existence for nearly twenty-five years, the Los Angeles IFPDA Fine Print Fair joined the Los Angeles Art Show in 2008, adding another unique aspect to the Show. Exhibitors in the Fine Print Fair are all members of the International Fine Print Dealers Association, a non-profit organization of art dealers, galleries and publishers in the field of fine prints who are committed to the highest standards of quality, ethics, and connoisseurship, and to promoting a greater appreciation of fine prints among collectors and the public. Visitors will have an opportunity to view and purchase fine prints across a broad spectrum of price from Old Master, German Expressionist, antique and modern Japanese, 18th and 19th-century European, 19th-century American, American Regionalist, Latin-American, and Modern works to Contemporary masterworks and new editions. Demonstrations at the IFPDA Print Fair
Back by popular demand, the IFPDA is pleased to announce the return appearance of Los Angeles printmaker Dave Lefner, demonstrating the technique of block printing on wood and linoleum. Visit the IFPDA Print Demonstration booth for a peak at the processes behind the art of printmaking. Dave will show how the block can be printed in many ways, by varying the paper on which it is printed, the color(s) in which it is printed, the humidity of the paper, etc., creating a unique impression each time.
