The exhibition will run from April 16th to May 30th , 2015. Taha Heydari鈥檚 works deconstruct the process by which media images, most associated with the Middle East, seduce the unwary into joining violent groups. The particular fluency of ISIS in the use of such methods has made the phenomenon a universal concern and Heydari explores the esthetic terrain of their propaganda. read more...

Her concern is with the sublime, as Edmund Burke explores it in 鈥淎 Philosophical Enquiry into the Origin of Our Ideas of the Sublime and the Beautiful鈥 (1757), describing the sublime as a physiologically related response to phenomena, referring to it as an instinct of self-preservation. read more...

As the sculpture expands and contracts along its steel tracks within the octagonal space of the Schinkel Pavillon, the video unfolds a narrative that travels across a series of staged interviews. The interviewees, everyday people of youth and health, exalt an unnamed city by describing its merits, such as the different kinds of natural waters that offer the ideal alchemy for recreational sports. read more...

These works could be considered both discrete and poetic, such as when he stood with outstretched arms on Wenceslas Square in Prague, or turned around on an escalator in order to fix his gaze on the people standing behind him.
