SUBLIMINAL PROJECTS is pleased to present Vita E Morte, the first solo show of new work by multimedia art collective Cross My Heart Hope To Die (CMHHTD). The collective consists of Sean Bonner, Brevi, Andrew Kline (Strife), and DJ Muggs (Cypress Hill). The idea for forming CMHHTD was the result of casual discussions about the excitement that at one time came with discovering new music. read more...

Catharine Clark Gallery presents Cloverleaf, an exhibition of new work by Timothy Cummings. This will be the first view of Cummings鈥檚 work in our newly renovated gallery space. The exhibit consists of paintings on wood panel and is driven by the artist鈥檚 relocation to the place of his birth: Albuquerque, New Mexico. This recent move, as well as the artist鈥檚 2013 residency in S茫o Paulo, Brazil have spurred Cummings鈥檚 exploration of dualities鈥攊nsider/outsider, self/other, the collision of nostalgia and the present. read more...

This site-specific sculptural work made of an array of mostly textile materials鈥攑ipe cleaners, wire, thread, yarn, string, fabric, plastic, and fishing weights鈥攕uspends from skylight girders to forty feet below. A series of intricately woven curtains and several small segments include three-dimensional elements, translucent fabrics, and open areas that allow viewers to peer through multiple layers from each floor of the Museum. Shades of red, blue, and black take on new dimensions when lit by gallery lights that emphasize details and create shadows that become a part of the overall work. read more...

Chicago Artists Coalition鈥檚 Midwest Artist Exchange is an annual initiative that nurtures connections and collaborations among CAC鈥檚 BOLT Residency and artistic communities in neighboring Midwest cities.
The core aspect of the program is two back-to-back weekend-long tours in Chicago and another Midwestern city in which the artists, partnering organizations and staff participate in an exchange of ideas, trends and knowledge that taps each group into the creative production within the other community. Both tours include visits to artist-run spaces, studios, galleries, museums, and more, as well as presentations, potlucks, and facilitated discussions amongst the artists and participating administrators. read more...

Since the late 60鈥瞫, Lee Ufan has been praised both in and outside of Japan as one of the leading artists of the Monoha movement. In recent years, however, he has moved beyond this framework to become a one of a kind artist occupying his own singular territory.
