Wynn Bullock: Revelations at High Museum of ArtThe High will become the first major art museum in nearly 40 years to mount a retrospective of work by photographer Wynn Bullock (1902-1975). This exhibition is organized by the High in collaboration with the Center for Creative Photography. One of the most significant photographers of the mid-20th century, Bullock worked in the American modernist tradition alongside Edward Weston, Harry Callahan and Ansel Adams. More than 100 black-and-white and color works by Bullock will come together for the exhibition, which will coincide with a major gift to the High from the Bullock Estate of a large collection of vintage photographs, making the High one of the most significant repositories of Bullock's work in the country. read more...

Work by ten artists engages with the conventions of source footage, narrative voice and re-enactment, questioning perceptions of such devices, while also reclaiming them in order to redefine their intent and potential.
