Welcome to the 2024 Gallery 110 Emerging Artist Scholarship Competition! Local sculptor and multimedia artist Hanako O鈥橪eary served as this year鈥檚 Juror, assisted by the Gallery 110鈥檚 Exhibitions Head, George Brandt, and 2022 Emerging Artist Scholarship Winner, Nahom Ghirmay.
Talent is everywhere, opportunity is not. To become more inclusive and equitable as an organization, this year we again limited eligibility to those groups of artists who, although replete with talent, have historically been offered sparser opportunity: artists identifying as Black, Indigenous and people of color.
These works represent a broad spectrum of artistic expression and innovation, highlighting the rich cultural diversity and unique perspectives of our community.
