A Modest Proposal
Hauser & Wirth presents 鈥楢 Modest Proposal鈥�, featuring work by artists Lucas Blalock, Naotaka Hiro, Sanya Kantarovsky, Nicola L, Tala Madani, and Jakub Julian Ziolkowski who humorously critique our relationship to the bodily and abject. The exhibition takes its title from Jonathan Swift鈥檚 satirical essay written in 1729, in which he comments on the extreme poverty and famine in Ireland. His solution to these dire conditions is simple: eat the children. 鈥楢 Modest Proposal鈥� will be on view in the Showroom at the gallery鈥檚 West 18th Street location.
