A Practice of Love
鈥楢 Practice of Love鈥 explores the transformation of bodies within ancient and contemporary rituals. By engaging our senses with movement, sound, incense, flowers, altars, potions, and rites, this ceremony celebrates the experience of being embodied in a new and sacred world. Before transitioning from the old self to the new self, we enter in the phase of the Liminal Being, the in-Between self 鈥 the Betwixt and between. This transitional state is characterized by ambiguity, uncertainty, borderless and open for transformation. The body is a fundamental resource for the creation of these rituals - the ritualisation of the body is the primary means whereby rituals are brought into being. 鈥楢 Practice of Love鈥 examines how ritual experiences are manifested through the body and what physical marks they leave behind on us.
