Aaron Siskind: A Survey of Life in Harlem during the Great Depression is now on view.  MassMu's entire collection of thirty original, signed black and white gelatin silver prints by Aaron Siskind (1903鈥1991) will be exhibited until late spring 2025.

Siskind, who made enormous contributions to the history and development of modern photography, created the Harlem Document series to provide an intimate glimpse into the social environment and widespread economic hardships that affected New York City鈥檚 Harlem neighborhood as well as Americans across the nation.
