Andersch Collection/Archive: Field Test #4: K酶pcke 鈥 Roth

Nov 21, 2024 - Oct 05, 2025

Whether it鈥檚 a sunset made of salami or a joint attached  to a telescope as a reimagined 鈥渓ifesaver鈥, ANDERSCH COLLECTION/ARCHIVE once again reveals its signature humor in Field Test #4: K酶pcke 鈥 Roth. The exhibition highlights the central role of Fluxus in the development of conceptual art.The art of the 1960s and 70s transformed everyday materials into works of art, challenging the elitist notions of the time.

Even simple gestures, such as smiling, were imbued with artistic value. Visual artists, musicians, designers, and poets worked鈥攐ften collaboratively鈥攖o break down the boundaries between cultural disciplines, resulting in works that blurred the lines between previously separate creative fields.

Join us on the evening of the opening for exhibition talks on Dorothee and Erik Andersch鈥檚 expanded Fluxus network led by curator Melanie Seidler and project director Felicia Rappe.  The talks will be held in German. Field Test #4: K酶pcke 鈥 Roth includes works and documents by Arthur K酶pcke and Dieter Roth, as well as contributions from Shigeko Kubota, George Maciunas, Yoko Ono, Robin Page, and Benjamin Patterson
