Beyond the Single Image. Spanish Photography from the Foto Colectania Collection presents 150 works by 36 authors, making it an exceptional show by bringing together such a broad and representative collection of Spanish photography history in the United States.
We are collaborating with The Margulies Collection at The Warehouse to present the exhibition Beyond the Single Image. Spanish Photography from the Foto Colectania Collection in Miami, a journey through the most significant Spanish and Portuguese photography from our collection.
The exhibition, curated by Carles Guerra, is based on The Course of Events, an exhibition presented at our headquarters in early 2024. In this new version, it includes 150 works and is thematically structured into 20 sequences grouped into 10 blocks, which recreate a dialectic between a single image and what we might describe as an alternative development of events through photographic sequences.
