De l’?criture [With Writing], a thematic exhibition from the collection of the MAC, highlights the vital importance of words, texts and literary references for some of the key art practices of contemporary art. The exhibition includes works by Raymonde April, Pierre Ayot, Gilles Boisvert, Jean-Fran?ois Bory, Marie-Claude Bouthillier, Ian Carr-Harris, Melvin Charney, Greg Curnoe, Manon De Pauw, Christian Dotremont, Charles Gagnon, Raymond Gervais, Jochen Gerz, Betty Goodwin, Takashi Hayashi, Gary Hill, Ilya Kabakov, Joseph Kosuth, Barbara Kruger, George Legrady, Lo?c Le Groumellec, Serge Lemoyne, Naomi London, Filippo Tommaso Marinetti, Andr? Martin, Roman Opalka, Dennis Oppenheim, Rober Racine, Monique R?gimbald-Zeiber, Judith Reigl, Larry Rivers, Louise Robert, Francine Savard, Michael Snow, Jana Sterbak, Serge Tousignant, Colette Whiten, Ewa Monika Zebrowski. Different versions of the exhibition can be organized in collaboration with each participating institution. This touring exhibition has obtained financial assistance from the Department of Canadian Heritage through its Museum Assistance Program.
