Do You Copy

Aug 26, 2019 - Jan 05, 2020

MoCA Shanghai is pleased to present  Do You Copy on August 26, 2019, as part of its ongoing “CROSS+” initiative. Encompassing the media of video, painting, photography, sculpture, installation, fashion, and artificial intelligence, Do You Copy features works by artists and creative collectives, over half of which are commissioned specifically for this exhibition or presented in public for the first time.

Do you come from Heaven or rise from the Abyss?

Human shave never ceased to imagine the future. Through speculation and exploration, we hope and strive for convenience, beauty, and all kinds of new experiences. We also direct our speculations towards the cosmos. From the time Galileo looked through his telescope, our cosmological speculations have always been a fusion of myth, fantasy, and science, and has always manifested itself in various forms.

Do You Copy? If you did, please answer!

In Do You Copy, we hope to erase distinctions between artistic creations and immerse the viewer in a world without borders. Incorporating materials from the worlds of fashion, film, music, and illustration, Do You Copy aims to showcase human imagination about the future in different media and in different spaces and times.
