Comprehensive retrospective, developed in collaboration with Fundaci贸n Mapfre Madrid, dedicated to Duane Michals, one of those contemporary photographers who reinvented the photographic language with the greatest intensity. An artist between photography and poetry, Michals is one of the most prestigious names of American avant-garde. In the 1960s, he shapes a new approach to photography which doesn鈥檛 pretend to record accomplished facts, 鈥渢he decisive moment鈥�, or to face metaphysical aspects of life.
鈥淲hen you look at my photographs, you are looking at my thoughts.鈥� In these words lies the key to Duane Michals鈥檚 body of work: a body of work which corresponds to his philosophy of life.
The exhibition is displayed along a path divided in various sections showing the different expressive modalities Michals gradually invented, as well as the different series he created on specific topics overtime.
