Eruption from the Surface: The Origami Prinicple in Art

The world consists of complex folding techniques, bends and crushes. Flower
buds, wings, the brain and even DNA offer perfect natural folding templates,
which people have been using for centuries as creative media for developments in
science and technology.Artists also reflect the origami principle and develop it further. The
infinite possibilities of deformation of a surface to make it a
three-dimensional object combine order and chaos, planning and chance. This
gives rise to filigree objects, space occupations or conceptual spaces between
sensuality and geometry, between rebellious opposition and collapsing form.
