The startÂing point of the exÂhiÂbiÂtion is the muÂral Les Plongeurs (The Divers,1942), which the French artist conÂceived for the home of New York arÂchiÂtect WalÂlace K. HarÂriÂson, and which Peter and Irene LudÂwig acÂquired for the new muÂseÂum buildÂing in Cologne 30 years ago. The exÂhiÂbiÂtion will preÂsent the artist’s muÂrals as well as his colÂlabÂoÂraÂtive proÂjects in arÂchiÂtecÂture, dance, and film.
