Beate H酶lmebakk鈥檚 Virginia series (1995鈥�2000) consists of drawings and models for four houses based on interpretations of four female characters from literature. In the context of Norwegian architectural history, the meticulous pencil and pen-and-ink drawings are masterpieces within the genre of paper architecture and were purchased by the National Museum in 2020. 鈥楶aper architecture鈥� is a term used for projects that only exist as architectural drawings and were never intended to be built.
