Botts spent two Covid years in a farmhouse in upstate NY, painting still life traditionally from a style learned in his youth on Long Island. Arcadian Interlude examines new forms which might be used to express a future hope in the face of an impending environmental disaster. He keeps a still life set up through the seasons and has found profundities in watching the slow change and cycle.
