Scott Richards Contemporary Art presents SPRING, a collection of polychromed steel sculptures by Los Angeles artist, HACER. An opening cocktail reception for the artist will take place on Thursday, August 6, 5:30-7:30 pm. The exhibition continues through August 29.
In his first solo exhibition at Scott Richards Contemporary Art, Hacer offers a menagerie of brightly colored small scale sculptures of animals and birds, which appear to be made of folded origami paper, but are realized in folded sheets of powder-coated steel. The show鈥檚 title evokes the bright propects of the season and the artist鈥檚 own personal journey and rebirth, culminating in the birth of his first child, a son, early this year.
