Here, Now: 2020 TAS Members Exhibition
Trestle Gallery is pleased to present Here, Now: 2020 TAS Members Exhibition. Every summer, Trestle Gallery recognizes the wonderful members of Trestle Art Space (TAS) by hosting a group exhibition of their work. This year, we are especially honored to showcase this exhibition after witnessing the incredible strength and perseverance of the TAS community amidst this catastrophic pandemic.
The exhibition is juried by celebrated independent curator, Dexter Wimberly. Regarding the exhibition, Dexter states, 鈥淚 am very excited to curate Trestle Gallery's upcoming Members Exhibition! I looked forward to meeting all of the participating artists in person. However, who could have imagined how unusual this year would be? In the midst of a pandemic that has led to the cancellation of so many events and the closure of art spaces around the country, I am heartened to be working with a very special organization that remained committed to giving artists a platform to have their work seen by an international audience, even during this challenging time. Organizing Trestle鈥檚 Members Exhibition was also an opportunity for me to reflect on the important role artists play within our communities. Artists are not only a source of inspiration they are part of what makes our society more diverse and equitable. The artists in this show are no exception. I look sharing forward their work to with the world.鈥
