Koshirakura: A Photography Exhibition By Participants At The 2023 Koshirakura Landscape Workshop
鈥婯oshirakura is one of the many post-agricultural communities which are slowly disappearing from the scenery of rural Japan, overshadowed by urban growth over the past century. The programme explores the intelligence inherent in locally available materials and artifices by creating architectural forms that reflect and register the natural and social climate of Koshirakura. Projects from this summer include a water fountain, a viewing platform, a local bus stop bench and a kinetic cinema sign built from reused building material.
