Enter the world of Inuk graphic artist Kudluajuk Ashoona in our window exhibition. Kudluajuk Ashoona, originally from Kinngait (Cape Dorset, Nunavut), made her mark on the contemporary art world through her drawings documenting modern day life in the North. Her realistic works are inspired by her personal experiences and photographic scenes taken in the 1970s and 1980s. Her works illustrate leisure activities, community gatherings, painful memories, as well as the cultural influences of the South.
