Over the course of time Lorenz Spring became a master of composition and colors with a distinctive style. At first sight, his works seem to be 鈥渙nly鈥� cheerful and colorful, but by having a closer look, a more serious content can be seen. He often works with series, which circle around one topic with different techniques. For instance the question of 鈥渂ecoming and decay鈥� is again and again treated in symbolical ways. Spring takes his archetypes from comic art or pop art. He applies the paint in an expressive way 鈥� most of the times using mixing technique. After a longer break, works by Lorenz Spring are again on display. For the exhibition 鈥淪pring in Winter鈥� he created new groups of works 鈥� which are presented together with paintings of the last years.
