Luftwerk: Corner of a Square
As part of The Arts Club鈥檚 ongoing series of garden projects, Luftwerk draws upon the architecture of the club, in particular the staircase designed by Mies van der Rohe, to create a light installation that activates the garden during the day and night.
Luftwerk is comprised of Chicago-based artists Petra Bachmaier and Sean Gallero, who create art installations using light, color, and material to augment experiences of space and site. Past projects include installations at the Garfield Park Conservatory, the Farnsworth House, and Fallingwater.
