Everything Abboud has created is connected with his heritage. His art is heavily influenced by his childhood in the war-torn environment of Beirut in the late 1970s and 1980s. Upon seeing his works, one is lead to reflect on the nature of conflict, whether inner or circumstantial.
Abboud molds, sculpts, layers, embosses and debosses, scrapes. He does not use only his hands, he uses his entire body as a tool. Come enjoy this primal and sensorial experience that truly evokes the meaning of artworks.
