Mini-Masterworks II

Mar 08, 2008 - Mar 30, 2008
A fusion exhibition of small masterworks by Inuit, Northwest Coast and M?ori artists. Mini-Masterworks II follows the extraordinary first show in 2006 which challenged Northwest Coast, Inuit and M?ori artists to make pieces on a small, intimate scale. The cross cultural concept has been a focus of the gallery for the past eight years and has offered travel opportunities, friendships, commissions and collaborative projects as well as building new and appreciative audiences for many artists. The concept of a small piece show with artists from three cultures opens the most possible doors in terms of interests, space, price, and artists; including inviting artists who have a reputation for making large scale pieces. This exhibition continues the concept of the first exhibition but with a different flavour, revealing new directions, additional artists and exciting surprises.
