Misun Won: The Infinite Bloom

May 08, 2025 - May 31, 2025

The Infinite Bloom celebrates the beauty of growth, transformation, and the boundless possibilities and detail found in nature.

Misun Won lives and works in Edinburgh. Originally from Korea, her highly articulate jewellery draws inspiration from the traditional wrapping cloth Jogakbo – where fragments of fabric are pieced together to form complex, harmonious patterns.

Misun hand-pierces patterns from a single sheet of silver or gold, folding each piece into delicate, dimensional forms that honour the meditative ritual of patchwork making. Her use of Keumboo, an ancient Korean gilding technique, and the inclusion of lapis lazuli emphasises the dynamic, rhythmical structures in her jewellery.
