Virtually Embedded In The Landscape authenticates a father鈥檚 and daughter鈥檚 connection with the picturesque Australian landscape of South Australia, Flinders Ranges and the romantic mobility of the British icon four-wheel drive vehicle, the Land Rover. The exhibition documents the artist鈥檚 family鈥檚 personal exploration of the Flinders Ranges through a series of pictorial photographs recorded by her father, Terry Cridland (1947-) in the mid 1970s. Originally photographed on slide film, the photographic slides have been digitally customised to a print and hand manipulated by etching the surface of the photographic paper by hand. The final image is a collaborative piece and validates an intrinsic part of our being and our identity as an Australian.
