Nick Brandt: The Day May Break, Chapter Two
At Photo London & AIPAD New York, Atlas is showing a preview of Chapter Two of Nick Brandt's The Day May Break.
The full projdect, consisting of 70 new photos take in early 2022, will be released in September 2022 and a book will be published by Hatje Cantz in Spring 2023.
The photographs were all taken at La Senda Verde Animal Refuge in Bolivia, featuring people whose lives have been badly impacted by climate change, and animals recued mainly from wildlife trafficking and habitat loss. These animals can never be released back into the wild. As a result, they are habituated and so it was safe form human strangers to be close to them and photographed in the same frame at the same time.
