Notes From the Ether: From NFTs To AI
Notes from the Ether is an exciting and timely exhibition that offers a glimpse into the future of digital art. Working with the emerging technologies of Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) and Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI), contemporary artists today are pushing the boundaries of what art is and what it could be.
Throughout history, artists have pioneered the adoption of the latest technologies, harnessing their potential to challenge the status quo and stretch the limits of creative expression. Today, artists grapple with two rapidly developing fields—blockchain and artificial intelligence—which have unlocked multiple opportunities for artistic creation and audience engagement.
Notes from the Ether brings together 20 artists who are navigating these new dimensions. From vibrant images generated in code, to self-portraits created in collaboration with the machine, this exhibition explores how artistic practices reflect the shifting conditions of the present signaling a future where art, culture and technology are seamlessly united.
This exhibition is curated by ArtScience Museum curator Deborah Lim and guest curator Clara Che Wei Peh.
