Patrick Haemmerlein celebrates the gritty beauty of Los Angeles through SHARED NARRATIVE, his newest collection of mixed media works on panel. Haunting scenes of urban decay feature brightly-colored graffiti adorning desolate corners of the city: a tower of shipping containers, a tanker train car, DTLA鈥檚 infamous graffiti towers. Although the people seem to have vanished, hints of wildlife remain. A lone coyote or sometimes a deer or a bird lingers, staring back at the viewer, challenging you to reconsider the built environment and your place in it.
