Radically Mine! If I ruled the world.. Imagine that!
What would the world look like if young people were in charge? The Van Abbemuseum presents the 16th edition of Radically Mine!: an inspiring school project in which young people create and exhibit their own works of art. This year's theme is healing, with more than 250 young students from Eindhoven and the surrounding area depicting personal stories, dreams and visions. A selection of these works can be seen in the exhibition If I ruled the world.. Imagine that! which opens on 17 April and can be visited until 15 June.
Radically Mine! is a programme for schools and curriculums in secondary and job-relatel education, in and around Eindhoven. Sixteen schools from North Brabant are participating this year. Students are inspired by artworks and artists on display at the Van Abbemuseum, depicting themes such as healing. In addition, they will have several workshops in the museum and at their own school. This process is guided by museum teachers and creatives from Eindhoven. In early 2025, they also received a special inspiration session from the Congolese art collective CATPC; shown at the Venice Biennale in 2024 and at the Van Abbemuseum.Helen is a major theme within their work. With the proceeds from their own artworks, CATPC buys back land and tries to restore local biodiversity.
