Rafael Domenech: Imperfect Fragments of an Uncertain Whole
Hua International is pleased to present Rafael Domenech鈥檚 first solo show in China, 鈥淚mperfect Fragments of an Uncertain Whole,鈥� in April 2021 during Gallery Weekend Beijing. Installed in both the gallery space and Gallery Weekend Beijing鈥檚 public program area, this exhibition expands Domenech鈥檚 explorations of buildings as linguistic devices and experimental publications.
Rafael Domenech (born 1989 in Havana, Cuba), lives and works in New York City. Having grown up and been educated in a socialist system, an interest in architectural spaces and public propaganda naturally defined the foundation for Domenech鈥檚 early work. After migrating to the US, the artist experienced a transformational broadening of influences and interests through the transition, the process of geographical relocation, and cultural integration.
