Resting Point of Accommodation
Almine Rech is pleased to present Resting Point of Accommodation, a group exhibition organised with Bill Powers. Works by Ana Benaroya, Brianna Brooks, Emma cc Cook, Leyla Faye, Geoff McFetridge, Kathia St Hilaire, Mike Lee, Che Lovelace, Alina Perez, Ted Pim, Umar Rashid, Emma Stern and Hiejin Yoo will be on view. "Resting Point of Accommodation is an optical term for the visual distance eyes settle on when the viewer lets them drift out of focus. It's a physical state most prevalent in people daydreaming. Of course, close inspection of any artwork is vital, but what of our peripheral, the ability not to look too intently?"
