Sebastian Gladstone: Pictures from My Dream
The works in this exhibition represent a 鈥渂ack-to-basics鈥� approach to painterly process for Gladstone, a transition that began in late 2016. Prompted in no small part by the disheartenment following the results of that year鈥檚 presidential election, the move was made in an effort to escape external context and the chaos of the outside world, with a simpler, more pared down approach to art making acting as a form of emotional catharsis.
